Significance: Karwachauth is the festival of love. The love between the Husband and Wife and the love between Mother -in- laws and Daughter- in- laws.

The Wife on this day will fast from Sunrise until Moon-rise without drinking water. According to tradition, doing this fast every year blesses their husbands a healthy long life

What is the Ritual of the Day?

On this auspicious occasion, all the married ladies does “Solah Singhaar”

(Dress in the traditional way) . The Mother- in-law gives “Sargi” to the Daughter-in-law early and starts the day by eating together with the delicious Sargi before the Sunrise. The women fast for the day without even drinking water. The evening comes with Traditional Puja and a lot of singing and dancing of the women folks. As the moon rises in the sky the ladies looking their best, do Puja of the moon followed by Puja of their respective husbands, and a delicious dinner is followed by the whole family together.

Enjoy this blessed night with the jingle of bangles twinkling of the stars and honor of the prayers of happiness and long life.
